    The Sounding Board

“The Sounding Board” is a member benefit where companies can privately and confidentially brainstorm ideas with Nathan or other members of the Chamber staff.  The benefit was launched in
response to the need we heard that business owners sometimes need a disinterested 3rd party to simply talk through a business opportunity or challenge.

“The Sounding Board” is not (nor will it ever be) a substitute for the wise and learned advice of our area’s lawyers, accountants, financial consultants, management consultants, and/or marketing professionals.

The hope is our conversations with members will be a referral source for other member businesses providing advice and business services.  Members who utilize The Sounding Board will leave the Chamber office with a member list of professionals who can help solve any business challenge or help the member maximize a business opportunity.  In other words, the Chamber can help a member define an issue, but in most cases, it is another Chamber member who can provide the solution.

It is also our hope that members providing business counseling services take full advantage of our Member2Member discount program to provide discounted initial consultations or other services to encourage the establishment of these new client relationships.

The Chamber is a bridge between members.  In this way, The Sounding Board is no different than our membership directory or networking events.  It is one more service of the Chamber of Commerce designed to connect the business community in our area and foster everyone’s business growth.

Whether you utilize “The Sounding Board” or not, the point remains the same, the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce exists solely to grow the businesses of its individual members.

If you would like to meet in person, Nathan would be happy to come to your place of business to meet.  You can either email Nathan at nsondgeroth@clintonia.com or call Karen Friis, at 563-242-5702 to set up a time.
